This is the third look in a series we shot for NZ Weddings Magazine – the tea party. Aren’t these cupcakes from Petal divine? Looking at these pictures makes us want to go and get one right now! They look great next to a simple vase of matching roses.

The beautiful plates are Villeroy & Boch from The Homestore, as is the sweet little bunny. The tablecloth is a thrifted gem as is the wine glass. In keeping with the theme, serve iced tea to your guests, either with or without a splash of alcohol. Another great drink would be Pimms, the perennial British favourite.
The cups and saucers are our own but can easily be found at secondhand stores. We created a sweet favour using these – to do the same, you’ll need a cup and saucer, some special tea (the one here is from T2), some ribbon, a teaspoon, and some delicious biscuits, either made or bought (ours are from The Cake Stall).
Put the tea into the cup, arrange two biscuits and a teaspoon on the saucer, and tie a ribbon around the cupe and saucer to keep it all together. You could then wrap everything in cellophane to keep it all nice (we’ve had to leave it out here so you see everything properly) and place at each setting for your guests to take away. We’ve also attached these cute labels from Kate at Ruby & Willow to complete the look.
In the next week we’ll be putting up some of our weddings from 2010/2011 – we can’t wait to share them with you!
