Thank you to Style Me Pretty for publishing this shoot!
Grooms, there is an alternative to the black suit, and it may not necessarily cost a fortune. We at Sutherland Kovach Studio, along with our friend and top stylist/florist Annie Oxborough, have put together a shoot for your viewing pleasure. Just as there are beautiful vintage wedding dresses, there are suave wedding suits. Why not step out of the box with one of these vintage numbers?
Would you believe we found this delicious brown three piece suit at the Salvation Army Shop? We’ve paired it here with a mustard coloured shirt and a super retro tie, also from the “Sallies”.
Just when you think it doesn’t get much better than this, we reveal it has a fully reversible waistcoat. You can change your look in a phonebox, just like Superman!
Rent this gloriously dapper grey suit from Hallensteins Suit Hire. Perfect for a garden wedding. Loosen the tie, roll up your sleeves and kick back for an afternoon of good old fashioned fun in the sun. What do you say, old chaps?
Want a more dramatic looking suit? What about a darker shade of brown? This snazzy little number comes from one of our fave retro shops – Mrs Jones.
We love the waistcoat. Here it is again with a red and white striped tie from Hallensteins for a jaunty look.
A spot of tweed never goes amiss. We created this refined look with another find from the Sallies.
And there you have it – a stylish groom on a budget! We’ll be back soon with some tales from Tokyo, and more fab wedding styling. Ciao for now!
